The, A, or Your?
This morning as I was getting ready for work Ted appeared in the kitchen. I was wearing a black top, black skirt and black boots and Ted said to me, "you look like manager." His manager, a manager, or the manager??? It's been troubling me all day. Somewhere I have a staff.

The other day I took a town car (like a taxi, only black, cleaner, and fixed-price fares). The driver gave me his card. His name is "Hussein" - no modifiers, kinda like Cher.
The business name was "Altos Transportation Service" and there was a slogan, too:
Satisfaction Quality Service Meet
I'm thinking there's some important part of speech missing (like a gerund or a treble clef or something). Notice I didn't say "treble cleft" - just think what Cary Grant would've been like with one of those.
By the way, by "took a town car" I meant I hired it for a while. I didn't actually 'take it' in any other sense. Just so's ya know.
