trust me, after working in theatres for 7 years, even if i were a parent i would still despise it. i can understand parents thinking their child looks wonderful on stage and has the voice of an angel etc etc, but do they really enjoy the rest of them being up there?

And it completely goes down hill when someone wets his pants onstage.
Oh the performances I have to look forward to!
